Sine Law
The Sine law is used when we have a side-angle pair, meaning we are given angle a and side A and then need to either find the missing side B or angle b depending on the problem. Side A will always be opposite of angle a, and the same for the others. Above, formula 1. is used o find a missing side, whilst formula 2. to find find the missing angle.
Lets do an example!
In this non-right angle triangle we have a side angle pair and want to find the missing side and angle. We have a formula for both, formula 1 (above) for the side, and formula 2 (above) for the angle (using the sine law instead of simply subtracting from the sum of the other two angles).
1. Determine the right measures
2. Type the rearranged formula in calculator
3. Solve for the missing side/angle (If it is the angle you must use the inverse ratio of Sin)
4. Don't forget the units.
